Buttercream Decorator Frosting In my last blog, I shared my favorite cookie cutout recipe, this week, I’m sharing a versatile and easy to make frosting recipe, and tips if you would like to try piping. - Maggie   Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter, softened 4-1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 5 to 6 tablespoons 2% milk Food coloring (preferably gels so they don’t change the consistency of your frosting)   Directions: 1. Every October, Western New York and the nation takes a moment to reflect and do what they can in the fight against breast cancer.So many have lost a loved one or watched a loved one struggle with cancer, including many of us here at the shop. Chocolate for a Cure is back! In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are once again having our Chocolate for a Cure fundraiser. Each year, we sell pink nonpareils and pink sugar cookies with one hundred percent of the proceeds going towards cancer research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. We started this fundraiser in 2012, in memory of our cousin, Andrea Pizzuto, who lost her battle with breast cancer October, 2011. Andrea was diagnosed in 2006, while pregnant with her only son. She chose to hold off treatment until after he was born. Her passing has left a void in our...
