Apple Crisp

While apples are still plentiful, I couldn’t resist sharing another one of my favorite recipes for the season.




PREP TIME: 20 minutes       COOK TIME:  30 minutes      SERVES 10-12


  • 1 dozen apples

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup butter 

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Use the one tablespoon of butter to coat a 9x7 oven proof dish.

  3. Peel and slice apples and place in buttered dish

  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. 

  6. While that’s baking, mix sugar and flour, then add cold butter. Mix it with your hands until it forms crumbles.

  7. Once apples are done, sprinkle with sugar and flour and bake for another 30 minutes.
